All Sussex and East Surrey Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are part of the Disability Confident Scheme; a commitment that we will

  • ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible
  • communicating and promoting vacancies
  • offering an interview to disabled people
  • anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required
  • supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long term
  • health condition, enabling them to stay in work
  • at least one activity that will make a difference for disabled people

The Disability Confident Scheme is a voluntary government scheme, which supersedes the positive about disability ‘Two Ticks Scheme’.  This scheme will help us attract people from the widest possible pool of talent and retain existing employees with long term disabilities, and to positively change behaviours, attitudes and culture.
